Sasaki’s Denver Studio Finds a New Home
In the six years since Sasaki’s Denver office opened, our studio size and portfolio have grown considerably, prompting us to look for a space that would better fit our needs and identity.
We’re now settled into our new home on the top floor of the Kittredge Building in downtown Denver, a Richardsonian Romanesque building designed by A. Morris Stuckert in 1891. A team of Sasaki interior designers and architects renovated the space and created custom furnishings to align with the firm’s ethos and create a studio environment that fosters collaboration and openness.
In order to take full advantage of the sweeping wraparound views of the city and mountains, the design concentrates conference rooms, storage, and pin-up space in the core, freeing up each edge for light-filled desk and collaboration spaces.
Our Denver office is a growing hub for planning and design work across the Western United States. Recent and ongoing projects include district and master plans for Denargo Market, Rock Drill, the Pearl Arts District, and the Denver Broncos Stadium District, as well as campus planning and design efforts for Auraria Higher Education Center, CU Boulder, and Colorado State University, and major civic projects like Park Hill Park and the Downtown Denver Area Plan. Beyond the Front Range of Colorado, the Denver office is leading active projects across the country, from Los Angeles to San Antonio, Salt Lake City, Oklahoma City, Little Rock, and beyond.
“Moving into this space marks a milestone in our Denver office’s evolution from two people in 2020 to forty people today across all of our disciplines,” said Josh Brooks, co-director of the Denver office. “We’re excited for this new chapter in downtown Denver,” added co-director Anna Cawrse. “These spaces are a natural extension of Sasaki’s identity and we’re looking forward to settling in and continuing to collaborate with our clients in Denver and across the Mountain West, as well as our colleagues in Boston, New York, Los Angeles, and Shanghai.”
