Mauricio (Mo) shapes the future of cities through urban landscapes. With over 25 years of experience as a landscape architect, he has led the design and construction of diverse projects, including urban parks, plazas, waterfronts, campus landscapes, and civic spaces. His dedication to quality and his collaborative spirit combines with an expertise in navigating challenging urban conditions. Mo also has a background in civil engineering which further enriches his interdisciplinary design approach as he creates transformative public spaces.
As a design leader, Mo guides teams through every phase of the creative process, working with local, national, and international clients. His portfolio features revitalized urban parks and plazas, innovative stormwater management systems, and interactive sustainable elements that engage communities. Additionally, Mo plays a key role in urban design and master planning, developing sustainable solutions for open space systems and complex urban networks.
Mo holds a Master of Landscape Architecture from SUNY–ESF/Syracuse University and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Cornell University. He also teaches a landscape studio at the Harvard Graduate School of Design. Mo is a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects and an active local advocate for community spaces and organizations.
