Director, Shanghai Office
Dou is a visionary and creative designer, with a focus on public parks and urban landscapes. As the director of Sasaki’s Shanghai office, she uses design approaches that break through conventional thinking to bring fresh light to projects. Her designs are closely tied with each specific site, integrating unique site features and details.
In addition to her 18 years of experience in landscape design, Dou’s architectural background and experience on master planning projects have greatly enhanced her skills in the broader design field. She is able to think from the big vision to the fine details, and from landscape itself to a more integrated environment.
Dou holds a Master of Landscape Architecture from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and a Master of Architecture and Bachelor of Architecture from Tianjin University. She is a registered landscape architect in Massachusetts, and a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects and the Boston Society of Landscape Architects.
