Sasakians Support Net Zero Building Legislation

Along with dozens of local design firms, Sasaki decided to sign a letter written by BR+A Consulting Engineers, U.S. Green Building Council of Massachusetts (USGBC MA), ZeroEnergy Design, and The Green Engineer, Inc, in support of the Net Zero Stretch Code. Sasaki saw this letter as an opportunity to become more deeply involved in climate action—in additional to signing as a firm, over 100 Sasakians of all disciplines pledged their support by signing the letter.

Sasaki’s Director of Sustainability and Resilience, Tamar Warburg, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, led the charge to have Sasakians step up to support this legislation. She urged, “moving from fossil fuels to renewables is urgently needed to address climate change. A Net Zero stretch code will require all projects to increase their efforts to reduce energy use—and be creative to improve sustainability.”

And Sasakians listened, generating the highest number of employee signatures of all the firms who pledged their support. Learn more about what the letter calls for here.
