CoreNet Global Features Akamai Headquarters Design

Sasaki principal Victor Vizgaitis, AIA, recently penned an article for CoreNet Global’s The LEADER magazine, detailing our interior design work for global headquarters of Akamai Technologies, in Cambridge, MA.

In the article, “Creatively fostering workplace connection,” Vizgaitis describes the extensive design process for Akamai—how the entire 19-floor project is stitched together by one continuous path, how common space and downtown views are democratized for employees, and how Sasaki worked with Akamai leadership to reflect the company’s values within the space.

In addition to the article feature, Vizgaitis, along with senior associate Colleen Barrett, IIDA spoke with CoreNet’s What’s Next Podcast to share more details about the Akamai project. Vizgaitis and Barrett discuss the importance of incorporating employee experience and company culture into workplace design.
