Anna 对社区和环境所肩负的职责同样体现在她的学术研究工作中。作为东北大学可持续城市环境研究的客座教授，她所执教的课程“Social Systems—Engagement in Practice”课程，旨在引导建筑、城市规划和景观建筑专业的学生参与到社区实践活动。Anna 拥有哈佛大学设计研究生院的景观建筑硕士学位，以及科罗拉多州立大学的景观建筑学学士学位。
