Steven is a landscape architect with a portfolio that focuses on the built environment and spans across many scales and scopes of work that includes civic, campus, and mixed-use development. He has experience working on many large-scale planning and built work projects throughout North America, Asia, Europe, and Africa and has experience managing award-winning, high-profile built work landscape projects both domestic and abroad, including the Chicago Riverwalk and the New United States Embassy Compound in Beirut, Lebanon. Steven is an integral component of Sasaki’s relationship with the United States Department of State through his work on a number of United States Diplomatic Facilities abroad.
Steven has committed himself to ensuring well-executed landscape projects through close coordination with design team consultants and client groups. He understands that thorough coordination between disciplines during the documentation stages of a project play a major factor in the success of execution and ultimate realization of a project.
Steven is a registered Landscape Architect in the State of Colorado and holds a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture with a minor in Horticulture from Purdue University. He has guest lectured at the Rhode Island School of Design to discuss the importance of thorough detailing and the Construction Administration process and was Sasaki’s firm liaison for the Landscape Architecture Foundation’s Case Study Investigation of the Chicago Riverwalk.
