Phoenix, Arizona
As a planner and associate principal in Sasaki’s urban and campus sectors, Margit designs for a more inclusive and connected civic life. With extensive experience working with a range of stakeholders and public and private clients, her practice centers on integrating planning across scales and contexts to create stronger and more sustainable communities.Â
Margit is passionate about leveraging the dynamic relationships between institutions and cities as pathways to creating transformative plans. She leads complex multidisciplinary projects for large-scale communities, urban districts, park systems, and university campuses. She also maintains a strong parallel interest in more localized projects involving gateway cities, anchor institutions, immigrant communities, and downtown revitalization.
Margit holds a master of city and regional planning with a certificate in urban design from the University of Pennsylvania, and a bachelor of arts in sociology from Colby College. She is an active member in the American Planning Association (APA), Urban Land Institute (ULI), and Society for College and University Planning (SCUP).
