Elango draws his knowledge in planning and urban design from over 10 years of professional experience working in varying scales and contexts across the world.

At Sasaki, Elango works on urban revitalization and large scale urban redevelopment projects, predominantly in Asia, with strong focus on master planning and high density developments. As an urban designer and landscape architect, he’s passionate about socioeconomic, cultural, and community
development. Prior to Sasaki, he worked in Mumbai, where he led projects in India ranging from designing houses to cultural institutions in several cities across the country.

He graduated from Columbia University with a master’s degree in architecture and urban design and received a bachelor of architecture from Anna University School of Architecture and Planning in Chennai, India.
