ULI Hosts Sasaki Webinar on Ho Chi Minh City Innovation Districts

On Wednesday, March 11, ULI Asia Pacific hosted a Thought Leadership Webinar Series with Sasaki’s principal Michael Grove, ASLA, PLA, breaking down our planning work in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam (HCMC). Grove presented Sasaki’s research which identified six key development zones that will help catalyze urban development and growth into the future.

Like many global cities, Ho Chi Minh City is competing to attract and retain talent. Many of the planning strategies presented in the webinar outline the ways in which Academia, Government, Industry, and Vietnamese Culture all synergize to create a sustainable structure for the innovation districts to thrive. With a strategic vision for its future, Ho Chi Minh will accelerate its transformation from an industrial economy to one driven by technology and ideas.

The webinar was well attended, with viewers tuning in from Hong Kong, Vietnam, Singapore, China, and more throughout the APAC region, and the world. A recording of the webinar is embedded below, and can be seen here, on ULI’s YouTube channel.

Look out for another Sasaki webinar hosted through ULI APAC on May13, 2020, where Sasaki’s team will present on our Chengdu Panda Reserve project.
