von Goeler Honored by BisNow Boston

Sasaki principal Elizabeth von Goeler, NCIDQ, LEED AP ID+C, CDT was recently honored by Bisnow Boston as a leader in the Boston Commercial Real Estate (CRE) Industry. von Goeler spoke on a panel with fellow experts about how designers offer unique, creative, and strategic approaches to challenges in CRE.

The panel kicked off an event titled, BisNow Boston Awards: The Next Generation of CRE Leaders, honoring talented local CRE leaders from a variety of sectors. During the panel, a select group of these leaders spoke about their experience and shared wise words with the audience.

von Goeler’s co-panelists shared advice both concrete and abstract. MIT Investment Management Co. Director Amanda Strong suggested that “What your mentors will do is give you the confidence to proceed to the next level.” Alexandria Real Estate Equities senior vice president Adam Brinch’s advice was more direct: “Do a good job. Show up on time. Be professional.”

von Goeler added perspective from her own career: “It is hard but important to find a way to step outside of your idea of what you do every day in order to let new ideas or approaches present themselves as possibilities, but it’s something you have to do.”
