Since joining Sasaki in 2007 as landscape and urban designer, Joel has been involved in numerous projects with a focus on developing recommendations for siting, massing, and functional use of new buildings; environmental design, strategic planning, and design for existing and new communities; and historical preservation.
As both a landscape and urban designer, Joel has taken a comprehensive approach to merging the environmental, the historical, and the financial within any built environment. He has over ten years of experience working on a variety of urban design, planning, and landscape architecture projects throughout the United States. He has worked with several clients ranging from colleges and universities, private developers, and municipal agencies.
Joel holds a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from the University of Oregon School of Architecture.
