Sasaki’s Moore Square Park selected for two Sir Walter Raleigh Awards

Sasaki is delighted to share that our Moore Square Park project has been recognized with two awards this year by the Sir Walter Raleigh Awards for Community Appearance.

Moore Square won in both the Landscape Design and Public Spaces categories. Public Spaces awards are given to projects that enhance the appearance and livability of public areas of the City, including parks, streets, neighborhoods, and churches. And the Landscape Design category awards projects that exemplify an integrated approach to resource conservation, respect for existing features of the site, and significantly preserve Raleigh’s natural features and trees, including exemplary design of utilitarian site elements transformed into public amenities.

Moore Square truly exemplifies the ideals laid out by the awards program and we’re honored to be recognized by the City of Raleigh for its achievements in design and enhancement of public space. Congratulations to our Sasaki design team, and to all the other award winners this year.

The Sir Walter Raleigh Awards for Community Appearance recognize outstanding new contributions to the character, environment and appearance of the City of Raleigh.
