Grove to Serve on 2019 WLA Awards Jury

We are pleased to announce that Sasaki principal and Chair of Landscape Architecture, Civil Engineering, and Ecology, Michael Grove, ASLA, PLA, has been named as a 2019 World Landscape Architecture Awards jury member. Grove is joined by five other esteemed landscape architects.

Projects will be recognized in five categories this year—Small-scale Built Work, Large-scale Built Work, Conceptual/Unbuilt Projects, Residential Garden Design Built Work, and Student Work. Each category is awarded the Award of Excellence and the Merit Award, respectively.

“It’s always humbling to serve on a design jury and see the inspiring work being done by our peers around the world,” Grove says of his appointment. “The complex issues of the 21st century—ranging from climate change to species loss to equitable access to open space—require landscape architects to lead like never before. I look forward to seeing the collective intellectual capacity of the profession through these awards.”
