American Business Journal Names Sasaki’s First-Ever Chief Technology Officer an “Influencer to Watch”

Holly St. Clair joins Sasaki in a new role, shaping how technology and design intersect within the firm and the profession at large.

Holly St. Clair was recently named as one of two Massachusetts women on the national Influencers: People We’re Watching in 2020  list by the American Business Journal. St. Clair joins Sasaki after serving as the first Chief Digital Officer and Data Officer for the Massachusetts Executive Office of Technology Services and Security. She will be the first to hold this new position at the firm and will oversee the strategy, implementation, and management of Sasaki’s digital environment.

St. Clair was also interviewed by Dave Gilmore, President and CEO of DesignIntelligence, about St. Clair’s path from urban planning to the world of technology and its ultimate yield: data. Listen to the podcast here.

Sasaki Hires First Chief Technology Officer

Holly St. Clair, formerly Chief Digital Officer for Massachusetts, to Serve in New Role

Boston, MA (February 02, 2020) – Sasaki, an award-winning global design firm, announces today the hiring of Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Holly St. Clair. Holly joins Sasaki’s executive team in a newly-created CTO role.

Previously, St. Clair served as Chief Digital Officer for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, where she was tasked with developing the Digital Service and Data Office.  St. Clair led the repositioning of the mass.gov website. Prior to her time at the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Holly spent thirteen years working for the Metropolitan Area Planning Council, with the MetroData Center and then as Director of Data Services.

“We look forward to benefiting from Holly’s extensive experience with technology and data analysis,” stated James Miner, CEO at Sasaki. “Holly’s role as CTO will solidify our industry-leading position in tech-integrated design.”

As CTO of Sasaki, St. Clair will be responsible for the company’s continued advancements in technology throughout the design process. She joins at an exciting moment for the firm, as Sasaki recently launched its new website, which represents a new approach to presenting a broad and deep portfolio and the firm’s unique culture.

St. Clair received a bachelor’s degree from Boston University prior to obtaining a master’s degree at Tufts University in Urban and Environmental Policy. She has served on numerous boards, including the Research Initiative Board at Northeastern University and the Advisory Board at TechTogether Boston.
