LCCC University Center Ridge Campus

The University Center Ridge Campus (UCRC) Building is intended to serve as a satellite campus of Lorain County Community College (LCCC) situated in a previously underserved area of Lorain County. Operating as a self-sufficient campus, the building contains faculty and student services offices, 15 classrooms, a health sciences simulation lab, meeting rooms, and a variety of student spaces. The building is organized around a dramatic three story atrium that serves as a community gathering space. The site is prominently located along a major interstate highway. The building takes advantage of this location to establish a billboard-like presence to the road, expressing the dynamic nature of LCCC to the community. The landscape is comprised of highly sustainable features such as a rain garden and a series of bioswales within the parking area.
