Bill is an architectural principal and leader in Sasaki’s sports practice. He specializes in athletic and recreation planning and design projects with a particular focus on higher education. He has nearly 20 years of experience in the design and implementation of exceptional projects in the higher education sector.
Bill has experience in the design of student recreation centers, intercollegiate athletic facilities, athletic fields, arenas, practice facilities, student centers, residential life facilities, and community centers. His well-rounded experience and in-depth knowledge of the functional requirements and technical details associated with these facilities assures the best result for the casual recreational participant and the competitive athlete alike. He strongly believes in the importance of athletics and recreation in an individual’s educational and student life experience. Bill has a consistent history of successful projects and strong client relationships.
Bill holds an undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University and a master of architecture from Virginia Tech. He is an active member of the American Institute of Architects, NIRSA, and the Society for College and University Planning and speaks frequently at national conferences on trends in athletics, recreation, and sustainability.
