Grinnell College Athletic and Fitness Center
|  | | | The new Athletic and Fitness Center will provide a comprehensive indoor facility, fully integrated with the outdoor athletic and recreation sports venues, in one central precinct on the north side of the campus. Facing the core campus, the 206,484 square foot center will appear as two separate pavilions - the gymnasium and the pool - but will be connected by an underground link.The green lawn between the two pavilions further emphasizes the axial link between the intercollegiate football field and the recently completed campus center. The double height activity spaces are sunk into the ground to minimize their volumes. |
