Arzanah Development
| | | | Arzanah is a milestone development in the evolution of Abu Dhabi and the UAE. Home to the Zayed National Stadium and related land uses, Arzanah will become a dynamic, transit served mixed-use community of high-rise, mid-rise and town-house neighborhoods, featuring an abundance of publicly accessible community health, sport, leisure, and retail/entertainment facilities. The existing Zayed Sports Stadium will be transformed into a multi-functional sports and recreational complex and will be seamlessly integrated with surrounding land uses. Brickell Financial Centre
| | | | Sasaki is the landscape architect for this mixed use project in the heart of Miami’s prestigious Brickell Avenue corridor. Between the Biscayne Bay waterfront and vibrant Brickell Village, a luxury retailing and restaurant district, the block is envisioned as a diagonal passageway with key zones of shade, water and seating. |

Cedar Rapids River Corridor Redevelopment Plan
| | | | 2008 was crowned “The Year of the River” in Cedar Rapids, Iowa - a title that became more significant following the catastrophic flood in June 2008 that inundated the river-edge neighborhoods and a large part of downtown. Over the four months following the flood, Sasaki worked closely with city representatives, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, stakeholders, and a team of planners, engineers, and designers to develop the framework plan. The public process included a series of open houses where the community could view and provide feedback on alternatives for flood management, housing and transportation. |
|
Cedar Rapids Riverfront Park Master Plan
| | | | Sasaki led a process to define a vision for the Cedar Rapids Parks and Recreation System, part of a series of planning initiatives following the City's devastating flood of 2008. The master plan proposes unique places ranging from grand gathering spaces to host festivals and events to intimate spaces for the daily enjoyment of the parks. It includes a new destination riverfront to attract residents and visitors to the heart of the City, signature parks that will serve the neighborhoods with high-quality recreational options, and increased connectivity and sustainability for the region. |
|
Cincinnati Riverfront Park
| | | | The goal of Sasaki's master plan is to create a world-class contemporary setting on the riverfront for Cincinnati by reconnecting the heart of the city, Fountain Square, to the Ohio River. The 32 acre central riverfront park is the remaining and largest jewel to be implemented in a series of smaller public parks on the high banks of the downtown portion of the Ohio River. |
|
Council Bluffs Riverfront
| | | | Directly across from Downtown Omaha and at the foot of the newly-completed Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge, the Council Bluffs Riverfront Park is a 90-acre public park situated within the broad riparian floodplain of the great Missouri River. The main goal of the Sasaki Master Plan is to seize upon the distinct character of the Council Bluffs side of the River – richly forested, green and soft – in distinct contrast to the highly urbanized landscapes that surround it. |
|
Daguan Park Renovation
| | | | Sasaki's design for the new Daguan Park will offer a unique combination of both active and passive uses within an interesting, diverse, dynamic and evolving landscape. Through careful and sensitive redesign, the park will continue to build upon its legacy for many generations to come. |
|
Dubai Aerospace University Master Plan
| | | | Dubai Aerospace Enterprise University (DAEU) will contain the full spectrum of aviation training and aeronautical engineering research in support of the United Arab Emirates' goal of becoming one of the world's premier aviation hubs. The entire complex will house over 4,000 undergraduate and graduate students and faculty on 200 acres within a highly sustainable framework. |
|
FDA Headquarters Landscape
| | | | The new consolidated headquarters for the Food and Drug Administration is on a 130 acre parcel of a former Navy research facility in White Oak, Maryland. In the enduring tradition of the planned American campus, the FDA consolidation integrates landscape and buildings into a unified environment. Buildings frame a central green and define a series of courtyards within a natural wooded setting. |
