798 Arts District Vision Plan

Federal University for Health Sciences
|  | | | The vision for Health and Education City Islamabad is to create a compact community centered on a new hospital and medical college while preserving – and enhancing – the natural environment. Dramatic ravines, which run throughout the site, provide a defining structure for the built environment. |

Doosan 100 Year Park
|  | | | Sasaki created a conceptual design for a small urban park commemorating the 100 year anniversary of the Doosan Corporation. The 100 square meter park consists of a parabolic granite wall, a flower bed, and a cylindrical tower 25 meters in height located in the center of the site. Jiading New City Center Landscape Axis
|  | | | Sasaki is the lead landscape architect for Jiading’s new 83 hectare central park. When completed, the linear park will be the most significant public open space in this rapidly expanding suburb, providing both active and passive recreational opportunities for residents. |

Thu Thiem New Urban Center Master Plan
|  | | | Thu Thiem is conceived as an urban environment that offers places to live and work, to recreate and refresh the spirit, to live in harmony and in contact with nature. The concept for this new urban center of 7 square kilometers focuses on connections to the riverfront; linkages to the historic city center across the Saigon River; promotion of a compact urban form that ensures flexibility and feasibility to accommodate growth and change. |

Thu Thiem Urban Districts and Design Guidelines
|  | | | Several unique urban districts or neighborhoods have been designed by Sasaki for Thu Thiem, including the Core Area, the North Residential Area, the East/West Boulevard, and the Southern Wetlands Zone. Designed at 1:2000 scale, the districts are characterized by their land use layouts, block patterns, street networks, and open spaces, and incorporate building footprints, sidewalks, street trees, and parking strategies based on district density and program. The district street patterns and building layouts respond positively to the South Vietnam climate and are oriented to take maximum advantage of the local dry season and rainy season winds. |

2008 Beijing Olympic Green
|  | | | Sasaki won first prize in the international design competition to establish the master plan for the Olympic Green – the main site of the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. As winners of this original competition, Sasaki is proud to have set the urban design framework for the design of the Olympic Green. However, the actual implementation of the architecture and landscape architecture of the completed Olympic Green was accomplished by other firms. |

Agilent Technologies Corporate Campus

The 45,000 square meter headquarters complex will reflect Agilent's corporate business culture and ideals for a productive, environmentally sustainable, and healthful workplace. |

Caohai North Shore New Urban District
|  | | | Sasaki and client Shui On applied sustainable principles to the planning and design of the complex project on 485 hectares. The plan integrates native vegetation and open space with an environmentally responsive transportation infrastructure connected to the city and region's existing roadways. It dedicates about 87 hectares of the total site to a mix of high, medium, and low-density housing and about 29 hectares to cultural facilities such as museums, theaters, an amphitheater, and an artists' community. |
