Auraria Higher Education Center Campus Master Plan Update
| | | | The Auraria Higher Education Center (AHEC) in downtown Denver was founded in 1970 to serve the needs of three institutions by grouping them together (University of Colorado at Denver Health Sciences Center, Metropolitan State College of Denver, and the Community College of Denver). Sasaki’s master plan update builds on the idea of giving each of the institutions its own distinct quarter within AHEC providing each school an identifiable home within the campus. |

Colorado School Of Mines Research Park
| | | | In response to joining the Colorado Renewable Energy Collaboratory, the Colorado School of Mines (CSM) hired Sasaki to help determine where the school should develop its research park. Sasaki's feasibility study led the university to consider other issues. Key was an assessment of CSM’s research strengths in the context of regional institutions and its national peers. The university concluded that the best short-term move is to create an on campus institute, the Earth-Energy Institute, to integrate university research and increase the on-campus presence of public, non-profit and private partners. |

Dallas Area Rapid Transit
| | | | The urban design and site design for this mile-long transit corridor links downtown districts, reflects district character and defines track, pedestrian and auto zones. Special streetscape treatments, shelters and a dynamic public art program unify and animate the corridor, support adjacent retail development and enhance safety in off-peak hours. |
|
Dallas Arts District
| | | | The urban design master plan and guidelines developed by Sasaki for the 17-block downtown district assure that private investment and public amenities will create a lively urban environment. |
|
Frito-Lay, Inc. National Headquarters
| | | | Enhancing the natural features of the 220 acre site, Sasaki’s designers and engineers helped site the building and diverted a stream through a central courtyard with a cascading waterfall and native plantings, and into a 10 acre reconstructed lake and spillway. Roadways follow the contours, existing trees remain, parking is provided for 1,500 cars, and jogging trails thread through the landscape. |

Mayo Clinic Phoenix/Scottsdale Master Plan 2000
| | | | The Mayo Clinic-Arizona has experienced significant growth since its founding in 1987 in Scottsdale. Currently employing a staff of over 3,000, it serves 295,000 patients annually and supports a growing basic science research program. In 1988, Mayo Clinic Hospital was added to the 210 acre Phoenix campus, which is the location for future growth of clinical services, hospital expansion, research programs, education, and administration. The purpose of the master plan is to demonstrate how the Phoenix and Scottsdale campuses can grow to meet future needs and establish itself as the leading academic tertiary referral center in the Southwest. |
|
