Monitor
| | | | Monitor's space, in a landmark New York Financial District Tower, has stunning views in all directions. As a primary point of departure, the views are celebrated, maximized and unobscured. In the double-height stairwell, existing structural beams were wrapped in drywall and become imposing architectural elements; the stairway itself appears to float within the void. In an egalitarian spirit, while there are private offices along the perimeter, the prime spaces – at the corners – are reserved for conference rooms and other common areas. |
|
Continuum
| | | | The design concept for the renovation of Continuum's 45,000 square foot headquarters celebrates the firm's people, their intellectual curiosity, personalities and passion. It communicates and enables connections among designers with diverse expertise. The space is focused on improvisational work rooms; their movable walls allow Continuum to make dramatic, 'magical' client presentations. The overall image of the headquarters is of an independent-minded, cutting-edge design leader. |

601 Congress Street
| | | | Sasaki’s interior design for 601 Congress Street features expansive open office spaces and glazed perimeter offices, maximizing light penetration. |
Sullivan & Worcester LLP
| | | | Sasaki provided interior design services for the renovation and expansion of offices for the law firm of Sullivan & Worcester LLP. The expansion of the firm onto an additional floor provided the opportunity to put a fresh face on this five-floor renovation and expansion project. Half of the new floor has been devoted to a new reception room and conference center. |
|
TJX Family Memorial Garden
| | | | Sasaki designed a memorial garden to commemorate the company's loss of seven women executives on Flight 11 on September 11, 2001. At the center of the garden is a long, low, glowing, curved glass sculpture that seems to rise from the earth and then recede back into the earth. The front face of the sculpture features seven panels, each one designed by the families, containing images and words that reinforce the unique identity of each woman. |

Corporate/Commercial Environments Private businesses including corporations and professional service firms, as well as the developers of the spaces these businesses occupy, require the wide range of services offered by Sasaki to address the breadth of issues typical of the development process.
During the planning and permitting phase of a project, Sasaki's experience in working with communities and city officials facilitates understanding key regulatory and urban design issues, incorporating responses into design proposals, and achieving permits in an expeditious manner.
During the design process, we work to address issues of functionality and image and to insure that these factors are consistent with the mission and culture of the client organization. Brand attributes and corporate attitudes can, for example, be addressed through architecture, interior design and graphic design.
