We are pleased to announce Sasaki principal and architect Bill Massey, AIA, LEED® AP has been appointed by the Society for College and University Planning (SCUP) to serve as Associate Convener for their Facilities Planning Academy.
Massey will commence his appointment as Associate Convener this fall, taking on a two-year term. He will then serve as Convener for a subsequent two-year term. Conveners are largely responsible for shaping the content that SCUP shares with its members based on their experience in the industry and appreciation of current institutional trends, challenges, and strategic interests. Massey brings over 20 years of experience in campus architecture and a long-term commitment to SCUP’s mission.
“I am honored to be invited to join both the Academy Council and the SCUP Council in a leadership capacity. I’ve enjoyed presenting, assisting in the selection of convention presentations, and attending SCUP conferences and events for many years, and to have the opportunity to shape the dialogue among institutions and professionals will be a welcome next step in my commitment to the organization,” says Massey. He hopes to "bring a designer's perspective to the conversation, rounding out the many perspectives brought by institutional leaders from across the country."
