We are delighted to announce that Sasaki’s Sunqiao Urban Agriculture District won the top award in the Urban Planning category for the PLAN Awards, one of Europe’s most significant design awards. In addition to the top award, five Sasaki projects were on the shortlist, and two, Yuqiao Innovation Cluster and Las Salinas, were finalists.
"We are honored to have had several of our projects recognized by the PLAN,” said Dennis Pieprz, Honorary ASLA, who attended the award ceremony on behalf of Sasaki and who led the Las Salinas project. “Winning this prestigious award from the PLAN for the third year in a row is a tremendous honor for Sasaki. Sunqiao represents a hopeful future for how we can more responsibly feed the planet's growing urban population, and we are pleased to see the idea capturing people's attention and sparking their imagination," said Michael Grove, ASLA, the principal in charge of the Sunqiao project.
