Sasaki Principal Tao Zhang and Associate Anthony Fettes were among the first cohort of professionals to earn the SITES AP credential, administered by Green Business Certification, Inc. (GBCI), which help to elevate the performance of landscapes based on the concept of ecosystem services.
As part of the Sustainable Sites Initiative, SITES is a systematic and comprehensive rating system for sustainable landscape development and management. Demonstrating their expertise and commitment to the profession, Tao and Anthony possess the knowledge and skills necessary to support the SITES certification process, including promoting and managing the application of integrated design and advocating for the adoption of SITES.
“It’s always helpful to establish a common language for the design community and the environmentally responsible clients about sustainable landscapes. SITES provides a wide array of useful bench marks and references for all land development even if the certification is not involved,” said Tao about his recent certification.
