“From the very early stages of this project, the team understood the importance of preserving the essence of the historic Ferdinand Building. As the project developed, the enormous complexity and technical challenges that emerged in the integration of the historic facade into the central design theme of the project were met enthusiastically by the City and the Dudley Square community,”said Fiske Crowell, FAIA, LEED AP, principal in charge of the project. “The comprehensive team effort in overcoming the challenges of this 'legacy' preservation was quite extraordinary and was ultimately behind the success of the project.”
