Gina Ford Presents at Mayors' Institute for City Design
Sasaki principal Gina Ford presented last week at the Mayors' Institute for City Design (MICD), an organization that convenes both mayors and design professionals around the country to examine challenges each city faces and discuss design-driven solutions. At this assembly of MICD South, the session focused on economic, ecological, and social resilience. Gina's presentation illuminated the unique partnerships behind Sasaki's post-flood recovery planning and sea-level rise work. Project highlights included:
"The event was a great meeting of minds on how to create frameworks for resilience in a variety of ways," says Gina. "The challenges we face are great, and collaboration is key to designing the best solutions. Forums like MICD are critical so that we can share with and learn from others."
