We are pleased to announce that the 798 Arts District and Shanghai Hongkou Urban Catalyst: Stadium, Park and Urban Connectors received awards at the 2018 MIPIM Asia Summit held in Hong Kong in late November. The 798 Arts District won Gold recognition in “Best Urban Regeneration Project”; Shanghai Hongkou Urban Catalyst: Stadium, Park and Urban Connectors was honored as a “Best Chinese Futura Project” with Bronze distinction.
“It’s very encouraging to keep up the winning streak at MIPIM Asia and be recognized by the broader industries beyond design” said principal and landscape architect Tao Zhang, of the MIPIM event. “These awards inspire us to continue Sasaki’s legacy of transformative design.”
This is Sasaki’s 3rd consecutive year, receiving six awards in total from MIPIM, with the Sunqiao Urban Agriculture District and Suzhou Creek winning in 2017, and Forest City Malaysia and Zhangjiabang Park receiving honors in 2016.
