Sasaki is proud to be named a top fifty firm in ARCHITECT magazine’s 2018 Architect 50 list. The ranking examines areas of design, sustainability, and business.
Firms self-reported data from the 2017 fiscal year for consideration. Design scores took into account design quality, research, awards, pro-bono work, and licensure. Sustainability rankings were derived from energy and water metrics, employee certifications, building certifications, participation in the AIA’s 2030 Commitment, and evaluation of an exemplary green project submitted by the firm. Business considerations included net revenue per employee, profitability, firm diversity, employee benefits, and changes in headcount.
“As a firm that deliberately specializes in multiple disciplines and strives for excellence in each of them, it is a special honor to be recognized for the strength of our architecture practice,” says Sasaki’s Chair of Architecture, Pablo Savid. “I very much believe that it is the interplay between architecture with our other expertise areas in planning, landscape, urban design, ecology, civil engineering, graphic design, interiors, data analytics—that set us up for success as an architectural practice. We hope to see the professions continue to blend so that all architecture is optimized for its site, for its context, and for its environment.”
