Microsite Reveals Impact of Salisbury Academic Commons

We designed and built a library for 21st century students—but does it work?

Two years after the opening of the Salisbury University Academic Commons, we surveyed students to find out exactly that. Using our proprietary MyCampus platform—an interactive mapping tool that reveals how students, faculty, and staff use campus spaces—we surveyed over 200 students who regularly use the Commons.

We launched a microsite to share insights from the survey results. The website features an overview of our design intent for the building, graphic depictions of the MyCampus survey results, and several high-level takeaways. The results give an honest look at the performance of the Commons from the very people for whom the building was designed: Salisbury’s students.
